I have read your product care and FAQ but didn't quite get the answer. If I buy pearls but did not open them, how long can I keep it? Cause, I can't tell what is your manufacturing date on the packet.
Hi, if you haven’t open the pack you can keep them up to 9-12 months. We almost have the cargo from Taiwan every fortnightly or at least monthly. All of pearls are fresh and they are average sold out in a month time, The manufacturer recommendation is 12 months for the pearls. Hence maximum 9 months will the best use time excluding the shipping , handling and delivery time
Thanks. I tried to today and it's indeed much better with this steep process.
On an unrelated note, I bought the brown sugar set and it came in 2 packs of pearl. Is each pack 300gm? Cause, I'm thinking of getting 1 single pack of your largest pearls you sell.
Thanks. If I cook really long, will the pearl go really soft?
By the way, if that is your definition of steep, then your instruction is wrong to tell people to drain the water first. And then do the steep. Confusing.
I just received my taro milk tea and brown sugar milk tea set. I have a question on the recipe on making the pearls. My first time, the pearl was pretty hard. Are mine considered mini or normal sized pearl. Apparently, you have 2 different heating duration for each of them. I think I need to go way beyond 20 minutes. I really want soft jelly like pearl. What is your recommendation?
Then lastly, you have this recommended yet optional step of "Steep the cooked tapioca for 20 mins". I am confused. Cause, steep usually means you soak it. So after draining the cooked water, you want me to leave it for 20 minutes or do you want me to leave it before the cooked water is drained?

Thanks for your comment . I reorder it :) Once you steep the tapioca, it will become softer not the length of cooking
